I apologize for the lack of attention to detail.My comments were in reference was to Mr. Baker's. When taken with Mr. Spinney's, I have found what I wish would become required reading at OCS. I am reserve component and, therefore, somewhat insulated from the effects of the problems I read about here. I was prior enlisted (E-5, ALSE qual., Cobra Crew Chief) and plan to branch Aviation in an Army Reserve C-12 unit. I am familiar with some of what is mentioned here, but have NEVER had to depend on the DoD for my total income. The topics discussed in this forum are not covered in OCS, probably with good reason. With a mounting sense of dread, I read this disscussion board to enhance my situational awareness so that when it's my turn to try to fix my little piece of the Army, I'll not be 'waking up blind with the house on fire.' I mean not to offend. It's hard to hear some much bad about something you believe is so much good. I've gotten a reality check here, but am still determined to find someway to help instead of hurt. Guess it's just my turn in the breech. Thank you for the tips. I'm sure I'll need them given the greater integration of the reserve component with the Active Army.
