If there's one thing the military does well, it's ceremonial burials. Our family recently suffered the loss of our dear brother, who spent twenty-two years in both the USAF and the U.S. Army. He developed cancer shortly after retirement, and he succomed to the disease last month. His wife, a native Korean he married during his tour on the 38th Parallel, quickly arranged for a military funeral. It was very quick, indeed, but the Army furnished much of the ceremonial equipment and a very sharp Honor Guard. You'll never know how proud you are of your country until Honors are rendered for a fallen soldier. This time-honored tradition will always be appreciated by our family, for we have lost so many of our men who were soldiers in WWII (Our uncle was with the 82nd Airborne during the European invasion. One other uncle was a Naval Radioman on PBYs in the Pacific) it is nice to know that the military shares our grief. I want to personally thank those involved in the ceremonial Honor Guard, the U.S. Army, and our nation, for rendering a fitting tribute to one who served.
