Representative “Warlords”

Here are some representative warlords who have in various ways demonstrated the shortcomings of the American way of war. One could of course add Giap in Viet-Nam.

TRANSITION: These warlords are taking advantage of failed states and internal conditions of conflict that in the past were interpreted in relation to the Cold War competition, not in their own right.
