Earlier an RMA panel and selected readings provided important perspectives on the American "system of systems" and some opposing perspectives.
For military professionals with a good understanding of the four warrior classes, the existing RMA approach is quickly seen to be deficient.
RMA today hits only 3 of the 12 strategic investment needs that I consider important. It is especially neglectful of
peacekeeping technology;
the human aspect of diplomatic, law enforcement, cultural, and economic overtures;
and home front security.
TRANSITION: Once we understand where additional effort is needed, we are ready to consider changes in our spending.
